Protect Your Vehicle Wrap During Arizona's Winter | Phoenix

Vehicle Wraps Phoenix | Protect Your Vehicle Wrap During Arizona’s Winter At azpro we get a lot of questions about how to protect a vehicle wrap in the summer months when the temperature is in the triple digits but it seems that people forget how cold Arizona can get.  Although the extreme winter temperatures will not harm your vehicles vinyl there are steps and precautions to take that will help keep your vinyl protected.  The elements like snow, sleet, and ice will not harm your wrap. But what you do to your vehicle wrap in these conditions can be potentially harmful. Although snow is uncommon in Phoenix, frozen windshields, windows, and rear windows are very common.  Most folks will use an ice scrapper to remove the ice (or use a credit card/gift card) on the windows.  This is completely acceptable if the window is not wrapped with vinyl or any perforated vinyl.  If your window is wrapped you will almost certainly rip off or damage the vinyl material and will have to replace it.  The best way to avoid this is to run the defrost or window heaters. Use a snow brush or something like it to remove the ice and snow. Most places that get slippery roads during the winter will put down salt to help vehicles maneuver and avoid accidents.  This salt can corrode vinyl laminate and cause discoloration to the design if the salt is left untreated.  Unfortunately this problem affects paint as well.  The fix for this is to wash your car wrap regularly and to keep it clean.  Don’t leave your vehicle wrap dirty for too long or the quality will not last like it should.  Take proper care of your vehicle wrap and your vehicle wrap will take care of you… and your marketing.
