azpro family: Pamela Wojnakowski

Purchasing may be her M.O., but this month’s azpro azpro family talent, Pamela Wojnakowski, has more to her than meets the eye! Learn more about Pam’s background, what she loves about azpro and how she came to perform next to N*Sync. Where did you grow up? Erie, PA What are some challenges you face in your role at azpro? My biggest obstacle has been learning the sign industry. On my first day I thought a Kong was just a big ape from the movies. Now I know better. What do you love most about your job? I love that I am a part of a company that has a vision for the future, a plan in place to grow, and is empowering me to make it happen. What is some of the best advice you’ve ever received? Who gave you that advice? One of the first Buyers I worked for taught me the power of always saying “Thank You.” At the end of every day she always said “good night” and “thank you so much for all of your hard work today.” She told me that it was the easiest way to recognize someone’s hard work & contribution, ensuring they feel valued. What are some tools you use every day that are essential to your role at azpro? Clear communication, multi-tasking, & problem-solving are key to making sure I am the most effective I can be in my role. What was your first job? I was a clerk in the bulk foods section of the Loblaws Grocery Store What’s one of your best achievements to date? My stellar performance as a firefighter clown in the 1998 Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade along with N’Sync, The Backstreet Boys, The New York Yankees, The Rockettes, and Santa (to name drop a few!). Is there a fictional character you most relate to? Hermione Granger from the Harry Potter books Do you have a life motto? Life is 10% what happens to you and 90% how you react to it. Who would you say are your heroes? My parents, Bono and Coco Chanel. If you could give someone any book to read, what would that book be? A Prayer for Owen Meany by John Irving What was the first concert you ever went to? Rick Springfield (And yes, I do wish I was Jessie’s Girl!) What’s your favorite word in the English dictionary? Serendipity ]]>
