What began as a small decal operation, run out of the living room of a house, has grown organically to become a major player in the large format graphics industry, servicing many national brands. This month, azpro will celebrate fifteen years of doing business in the West Valley of Phoenix. Over the course of a decade and a half, brothers Jason and Chris Prenovost, azpro founders and president and vice president, respectively, have seen their operation evolve in almost every way imaginable. With just shy of one hundred employees, this company has seen itself shift its focus from installing custom lettering on semi-trailers out of the back of a truck stop, to a company that now operates out of a 35,000 sq. ft. facility in Avondale where they focus on their niche market of retail pop/pos signage, corporate environments, and vehicle fleet graphics. While azpro has never experienced a single year without revenue growth, their success did not come without the typical growing pains companies often endure. This once small company that started with six employees, who shared almost every responsibility, has matured to its current mark of 93 team members, all with a very focused role. Included in that number is a motivated fourteen-member sales team with business development managers, nearly 90 years of professional design experience, a G7 Master Certified Print Department, and a 3M Certified installation crew. Among the clients they now call partners are Shamrock Foods, Swift Transportation, Legends Entertainment District, Freightliner, Southwest Products (SWP), and Fry’s Food Stores, as well as the rest of the Kroger subsidiaries. While their partners, certifications, and awards are clearly something to hang their hat on for the Prenovost brothers, at the end of the day, they not what they are most proud of when looking back on their achievements. “The team is what drives me,” Chris said. “It’s an amazing opportunity to see the lives that we were able to touch, and the comradery and family feel that we have within the whole group here.
